Sri Lanka World Challenge Trip 2017
This year 7 students from the academy embarked on a World Challenge trip to Sri Lanka. The students spent over 18 months fundraising for the trip. They visited The Senkadagala Deaf and Blind School where they donated money and time to improve the school.
After the community project at the school the students participated in a challenging trek before having the opportunity to go white water rafting and spend a couple of days having some well deserved rest and relaxation time.BTEAcademy @BTEAcademy

Malaysia World Challenge Trip 2016
This year’s World Challenge expedition to Malaysia involved 12 KS4 and KS5 students from BTE Academy.
After flying into Kuala Lumpur, the challengers were soon in the Cameron Highlands for the trekking phase of the expedition, which was both challenging and rewarding for all the students.
The main objective of the trip was the charitable project phase. This saw the challengers helping out at a school that has been set up to support the children of the native tribes who live in the jungle of Malaysia. The challengers were a real credit to themselves, as they got their hands dirty and mucked in with several construction tasks which will ultimately lead to the development of the new school building.
The expedition finished with some well-earned rest and relaxation, including white water rafting and a couple of days on the stunning island of Pulau Pangkor. The trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and all students returned with many stories, souvenirs, photographs and fantastic memories.
