Physics

Year 10 physics:

Concentrate on consolidation and revision of the topics we have covered so far this year.

-Revision of topics 1-3 using revision guide (pages 1-71) and workbook (pages 2-32).

-I have set revision activities on kerboodle.com (username is initial followed by surname and institution code is hur1).

-Access to textbook also via kerboodle (pages 1-91).

 

Year 11 physics:

We have finished teaching for all combined science topics, and only have space left for those students studying separate sciences.

-Sign up to year 11 physics virtual classroom on Edmodo.com. Class code is 6uh28m.

-Use the folders function on edmodo to find revision resources for all topics.

-Use the required practical sample data to complete your practical lab book for all available investigations.

-Access to textbook also via kerboodle.

 

Year 12 A-level physics:

Concentrate on consolidation and revision of the topics we have covered so far this year.

-Complete the guided learning booklet 3 on forces, energy and materials. I have posted the mark scheme on kerboodle.

-Use alevelphysicsonline.com to watch targeted revision videos particularly focusing on modules 3 and 4.

-Continue revision of keyword definitions using glossary in textbook.

 

Year 12 EPQ:

Continue with secondary research where possible.

If you have not yet collected any primary research try to do this before the end of term 4.

Update your logbooks where possible.

 

Year 13 EPQ:

Complete written report and update your logbook as far as possible.

I am available via email and can give guidance and advice in order to ensure that your logbooks are completed and up to date.

Consider writing your summary and reflection, using the assessment objectives as guidance.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support the home-learning of our students, we have set up virtual science classrooms on the edmodo.com website. In order to access these resources, students will need to access the website or app and set up a free account. They will then need to join the relevant classes using the class codes below. Staff will continue to set work on the kerboodle platform alongside any tasks that are assigned via edmodo.
