Concerns about a child
Should you have any concerns relating to the safety and welfare of a child at the school you should immediately contact a member of the safeguarding team, as listed above, all of whom have completed child protection training.
If, on a rare occasion that none of the Safeguarding team are available, please report your concerns to the Principal – David Howe.
If you have concerns about a child and you are unable to contact any of the school based team you should make a referral yourself. The following numbers will access South Gloucestershire Child Safeguarding Board:

999 – If the situation requires urgent and immediate action

If your concern is about the threat of radicalisation or terrorism and you feel it presents an immediate risk to the child phone 999
If you are aware of the threat or the occurrence of FGM you must report it to the police using 101, or 999 if you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm
Concerns about staff
Should you have any concerns in terms of safeguarding relating to the behaviour of a member of staff, you should immediately contact the Principal. If the allegation concerns the Principal, you should contact Adele Haysom (adele.haysom@bteacademy.co.uk), Chair of Governors. Should you feel that your concerns have not been dealt with appropriately by the Academy or the Governing Body, you should contact the Local Authority Designated Officer via First Response on 01454 868508 .
